Romeu explains the situation with Lewandowski, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong
The Barcelona economic vice-president Eduard Romeu spoke on RAC1 radio
Barcelona vice-president Eduard Romeu, responsible for the club’s economics area, spoke about the transfer market and the club’s options.
In an interview with RAC1, he said on Robert Lewandowski: “If we are capable earning three times the amortisation cost of Lewandowski, we can sign him.”
He was also asked about Frenkie de Jong, who has been linked with the exit as part of a deal to raise money for signings.
“We have not budgeted a euro from the sale of any player, if it happens, it will be a sporting decision,” he said.
On the Gavi renewal, which is dragging, he added: “I don’t know about any conflict in Gavi’s renewal, the same as with all the other players that we’ve been renewing.” He’s confident a deal will be reached.
