José Mourinho is looking to bring the French centre back to Rome

Clement Lenglet is not on the list of players that Barça is desperate to sell. However, given its current financial situation, the club is open to all offers that could help reduce its wage bill. The 26-year-old centre back is wanted by many European clubs, and several have even made official enquiries about the player. Interest is particularly strong from the Premier League, with both West Ham and Everton reported to be keen on a loan deal with obligatory purchase clause. There has even been talk of the player joining for free. Nothing is currently off the table.

According to SPORT sources, Roma has also entered into negotiations with Barça to sign the French centre back. A few weeks ago there was talk of a possible swap deal involving Lenglet and Italian midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, but this was flatly rejected by Roma. However, the club remains interested in Lenglet and has made a bid of up to 15 million euros for the player, a figure which Barça deems to be below his true market value of 25 million euros. It is understood that Barça would not sell the player less than this amount. The player's wishes must also be taken into account, with club sources saying he would like to play in the Premier League if he had to leave Camp Nou. However, his preference is to remain at Barça for the upcoming campaign.
