A few hours after it was confirmed that Barcelona are keen to move Carles Perez on this month, in Italy there are reports of a move to Roma on loan.
The Italian club's sporting director, Gianluca Petrachi, has been combing the market for weeks in search of a new forward. However, so far all attempts to land one have failed.
As in nearly all cases, and even more so with Italian teams, the economic issue is the most complicated. Barça's initial idea was to sell Perez and bring in some more revenue.
But Roma's plan is different. Paulo Fonseca's side, who are fourth in Serie A, are only keen on a loan until the summer, with an option to buy.
Some reports in Italy suggest an agreement is close.
