Barcelona will receive an initial 11 million euros from the Italians

Carles Perez is now, definitively, an AS Roma player. The Italian club published an official statement to that effect on Friday.

"[The club] communicates the official signing of Carles Perez from Barcelona for a fixed sum of 11 million euros and possible add-ons of up to 4.5 million euros," it read. "The add-ons are dependent on the achievement of certain sporting results."

Barça will have the first refusal on the forward in the future but do not have a buyback option.

It's not taken long for Roma to make the loan move a permanent one. In fact, this scenario was predictable given the clauses in the deal as revealed by SPORT in January.

Sources explained at the time that Roma just needed to achieve one point and Perez needed to play one game for the deal to be made permanent.
