The Polish forward has not forgotten about Gil Manzano sending him off

Robert Lewandowski has not forgotten the three-match ban imposed after his nose-tapping gesture in Pamplona following Gil Manzano's second yellow card for him. And last night it was evident in Heliópolis.

The Polish striker returned to Xavi Hernández's starting line-up after serving his three-match ban and did so in the best possible way, scoring the goal that made it 2-0 to Barca, in their eventual 2-1 win.

During the celebration, Lewandowski could be seen holding his hand to his nose, no doubt a nod to the gesture that cost him the suspension. There was an air of vindication in the Blaugrana striker's behaviour, celebrating his goal in this particular way.

The team ended up winning a difficult away game and Barça strengthened their lead with Lewandowski, who has now scored fourteen goals in La Liga, the division's top goalscorer.
