Robert and Segura are jet lagged but hopeful over Arthur
The Barça duo have been in Brazil working on the deal
They were back for Sergi Roberto's renewal on Thursday
Barcelona gave maximum importance to Sergi Roberto's contract renewal. As well as president Josep Maria Bartomeu and directors Jordi Mestre and Javier Bordas, also present were the two chief transfer negotiators Pep Segura and Robert Fernández.
Both arrived just in time to be alongside the midfielder from Reus as he signed his new deal. They returned from an intense week in Brazil where they have been working on a deal for Arthur. They returned with jet lag, but also hopeful of finalising a deal for the Gremio player.
Talks became complicated due to the emergence of Monaco, who have also made a strong move for the player. But Barça's representatives are optimistic and believe the player will end up at Camp Nou.
Barça have been following Arthur for several months and are convinced he will fit in. The cost of the deal could change things, but Barça don't believe that will happen.
