Rivaldo says Setien should not take risks with Leo Messi
The former Barcelona forward spoke about the club going into the restart
Former Barcelona forward Rivaldo spoke about Lionel Messi and criticised Quique Setien.
"What Setien said (about five subs rule) makes no sense, looking for excuses on a topic like this, saying that you feel hurt because the opponent has two more changes, I don't understand it," said Rivaldo, a Betfair ambassador.
"(Barca and Madrid) are stronger than the rest, they can finish games easily within 45 minutes, they have much more talent compared to the other sides.
"Barcelona have to be ready to win their games from the start. You can't go in thinking you'll win at the end because the opponent gets tired, you have to give it all from the word go."
On Lionel Messi, who had a thigh problem, but Setien says is now fit, Rivaldo had an opinion.
"It could be important that he resolves games quickly and then gets substituted," said the Brazilian.
"What's clear is that with Messi you can't go and tell him simply that he has to rest. Because he wants to win La Liga, the Champions League, the golden boot, the golden ball, and to do that he needs to play regularly."
