Former FC Barcelona star Rivaldo has given his opinion on the current ongoings at the Camp Nou. Talking to 'Betfair', the Brazilian claims the team is missing Lionel Messi's influence out on the pitch.
"The team is missing Messi," insists Rivaldo. "When he's out on the pitch he creates special things, magical things. He adds confidence to everyone else and makes things go better for Barça."
Another player people are talking about right now, Frenkie de Jong, must be given time to settle in. "He's already confirmed what we hoped to see from him. He's adapting well to his new surroundings and it's clear he's a good signing for Barcelona. He'll bring a lot to the team in the future."
Rivaldo also believes Valencia must be respected, despite the sudden and surprising change in manager, as they are capable of getting a result at the Camp Nou. "Valencia are always a difficult opponent. And the matches which come after an international break are even tougher. I expect it'll be hard for Barcelona."
