"What I want is to continue at Barcelona, if I can choose, I will stay here"

Riqui Puig finally made his La Liga debut. The midfielder, one of the stars of Barcelona's academy, was one of the players picked by Ernesto Valverde in a much-changed lineup against Huesca. The teenager produced some lovely moments on the ball.

"Making your debut in La Liga is always special, no doubt," Riqui said after the game. "I am really happy to get the opportunity, I have fulfilled a dream.

"It's a prize for the patience I have had, the hard work I have put in when training with the first team and, of course, my performances with the B team."

He has been linked with a loan move next season, with Ajax mooted, but he added: "A loan? What I want is to continue at Barcelona. This is the club of my life, my parents' club, my family's club. If I can choose, I will remain at Barça."

On the goalless draw with Huesca, he added: "We struggled at the start because the pitch was dry and the ball didn't roll well. I think for that reason it's a good draw. I tried to play my game. My teammates, honestly, helped me so much."
