Riqui Puig and Abel Ruiz ready to get Barça B off to the perfect start
Barça B travel to Badalona without Ansu Fati and Carles Pérez after both were called up to the senior squad
Last season Barça be were always facing an uphill task to escape the division due to their poor start. Although they managed to turn it around quickly, the damage seemed to last throughout the campaign. It was a learning experience for this young side. They begin the 2019/20 season with a tricky trip away to Badalona but the side is ready to prove it's too good for the Segunda B.
Garcia Pimienta had to wait and see which of his stars would be needed for the senior side this weekend. They trained yesterday but did so without Iñaki Peña, Carles Pérez, Ansu and Abel Ruiz. The last of those will be with the B team after Valverde didn't select him for the Betis game. Ruiz, alongside Riqui Puig and Collado, are the ones expected to get the team off to the perfect start. New signing Ludovit Reis will start and Sergi Puig will cover the loss of Peña (senior team) and Carevic (injured).
