Gerard Deulofeu has joined the English club until the summer

He could make his debut against Stoke City on Wednesday

Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu joined Watford on loan this week until the end of the season. He will wear the No.7 shirt at Vicarage Road and could even make his debut against Stoke City on Wednesday.

It is the fourth time the Spain international has been forced to leave Camp Nou. He left twice on loan before, moving to Everton and Sevilla, before then joining Everton on a permanent deal.

Last summer, he returned to Barça for €12 million, but he has not been able to find his place in Ernesto Valverde's side and has once again been obliged to find regular football elsewhere, returning to England.

Here are the details of his latest loan:

  • Watford will take charge of his salary until the summer
  • If Watford finish 10th or above in the Premier League, they will pay Barça €1m
  • If Barça sell Deulofeu for more than €20m next summer, Watford would get that €1m back
  • Deulofeu's contract will automatically renew until 2020 if he's not sold in the summer
