The Old Lady may make a move after losing Chiellini for a number of months

The transfer market is in the final few days and there's more going on than just the Neymar saga. In Italy, Juventus have been linked with Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti after seeing Chiellini pick up a long-term injury.

Juve are working against the clock to replace the Chiellini. The centre-back will need surgery after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in training. The Serie A side haven't revealed how long he will be out but it will be months.

Umtiti has lost his place at Barça to Clement Lenglet -- and now in the France team, too -- but he still has a good reputation and Juve could look to do a loan to cover themselves.

The offer would be similar to Bayern Munich's for Philippe Coutinho: a loan with a fee and an option to buy at the end of the season.

Barça had been open to letting Umtiti go earlier this summer. That may change, though, if Jean Clair Todibo, their fourth centre-back, is included in a potential Neymar deal.
