Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos could replace Coutinho at Liverpool
The Madrid midfielder could be on the move in January
He's not had minutes since joining the club from Real Betis
Liverpool are aware of Barcelona's interest in Philippe Coutinho but don't want to lose the Brazilian. If they do sell him, it would only be in the case that Barça meet their lofty demands. And in the case the Catalan club do, the Premier League side are making plans.
It's for that reason Jurgen Klopp's side are looking at possible replacements for Coutinho. And according to the Daily Star, Liverpool have targetted Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos. The Reds, according to the newspaper, were also interested in the Spain U21 international before he left Real Betis in the summer.
The talented midfielder, 21, is not getting minutes under Zinedine Zidane in his first season at Madrid and could be keen to move. It remains to be seen if Florentino Perez would be happy to let him go or if he would prefer a loan -- he only signed him for 16.5 million euros this year.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Ceballos, whose age and potential make him an exciting prospect for many teams.
