Rakitic: "Messi is different compared to Modric and the rest"
The Croatian believes Barça produced one of their most "complete" performances of the season against Tottenham Hotspur
Ivan Rakitic was very clear in regards to who he believes is currently the best player on the planet. "With all due respect to other players who have won (things), we know there is a player who is different to the others and that is Leo Messi."
He insisted that despite Luka Modric winning the Ballon d'Or, Messi is better. "Sometimes there are circumstances like Luka Modric having an outstanding season and maybe people want to change things up a bit. But, with all the respect in the world towards Luka and the others, there's a player who is different to everyone else - and that's Leo Messi."

As for the match against Tottenham, Rakitic said: "We produced a very complete performance. It's a shame that we allowed them to score two goals from very few chances. I think it was a complete performance, especially in the first half where we were clearly superior."
The Croatian didn't hide how important the Champions League is to Barça this season. "The Champions League has a special feel to it this year, but it did last year and it will next season too."

Rakitic: "The Champions League is special and we're desperate to do things right, learn from our previous mistakes. The most important thing now is LaLiga as that helps generate momentum."
When quizzed about Arthur, a surprise name in the starting XI, the Croatian said: "It's important that he gains confidence. Thanks to his effort we were able to play so well. I congratulated him because he deserves it. He's working hard every day."

Arthur arguably produced his best performance in a Barcelona shirt against Tottenham.
"We knew how to defend and when to attack. It isn't easy to play against Tottenham at their stadium."
