The agent of the Norwegian striker warned Barcelona but nothing has been sealed
Barcelona are not throwing in the towel for Haaland. The Norwegian is still priority No 1 for Barcelona ahead of next season. The delicate economic situation the club are going through means they are behind other clubs in the race but it’s not over yet.
Mino Raiola, his agent, has recovered from some serious health problems and held meetings in Monaco, including speaking to Barcelona president Joan Laporta. Contact has been frequent. And the chief told Raiola Barcelona are willing to make a new effort to get him.
The main hope is that Haaland can be convinced by the sporting project as a better offer than City or Madrid’s millions. Xavi Hernandez is the coach leading the continent’s most exciting project for next season.
Raiola told Laporta that Haaland has not decided where he will go next season yet but that Barcelona are in a difficult position because of the other club's financial muscle. The decision will arrive in the coming weeks and is up to the player himself.
