Valencia want the midfielder but can't pay the 30 million euros Barcelona want

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha's father Mazinho has been seen in Valencia on Thursday. Mazinho, who is also his son's agent, was seen at the club's Paterna base having been speaking with representatives of the club.

According to Plaza Deportiva, he was speaking with Valencia's new sporting director José Ramón Alexanko. Los Che are interested in Rafinha, but they are not willing to pay the 30 million euros the Catalan club want for the Brazil international.

Rafinha has a meeting pending with Ernesto Valverde, although he's already informed the club he'd like to leave if he can't be promised regular football next season. The World Cup next summer is his aim and to make the Brazil squad he needs to play every week.

Valencia are looking at Rafinha as a possible replacement for Dani Parejo, who could leave the club this summer.

They previously tried to sign Rafinha on loan in 2013/14, but on that occasion he preferred to move to Celta Vigo to join up with Luis Enrique, who he worked with at Barça B.

That relationship with Luis Enrique saw him feature regularly for Barça during the last three seasons, but he fears the coach's departure could spell the end of his playing time at Camp Nou.
