The midfielder has been out since April

On Sunday he underwent a second operation

There is still no light at the end of the tunnel for Rafinha as he remains sidelined with a knee injury.

The midfielder has been missing since April because of a meniscus problem and on Sunday was forced to undergo a second operation in a bid to speed up his recovery.

Barça confirmed: "The first team player Rafinha underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Sunday on his right knee.

"It is worth remembering that the Barça number 12 is yet to feature for the team this season and that he underwent similar surgery on the internal meniscus of his right knee on April 7 of this year.

"The Brazilian midfielder has played 78 games for the FC Barcelona first team, scoring 11 goals."

Barça have not confirmed how long Rafinha will be out for but he's not likely to return to action any time soon.
