According to 'El Desmarque', the midfielder is hopeful his move to Mestalla is back on now Alemany will remain in charge of transfers

Rafinha wants to continue his career at Valencia. Whilst the midfielder remains on his current club's tour of the United States, he's waiting for developments on his transfer to join up with Marcelino. The younger Alcantara brother has impressed onlookers with his performances throughout preseason but with just 12 months to run on his deal, it's now or never if Barça plan to cash in.

According to ‘El Desmarque’, Mateu Alemany and Marcelino are united in their desire to bring Rafinha to Valencia. His obvious talent and experience at Barça is key for their young, inexperienced side. However, the owner of Valencia - Peter Lim - isn't keen on signing a player with such a long history of injuries.

Valencia must first move on Racic and Medran to make space for the midfielder. Marcelino's plan is to have his squad finalised before the season begins.
