Barça have decided to let Rafinha leave the club this summer before his contract expires in 12 months time. Valencia are the frontrunners for his signature, with the player keen to make the move too, and the two sides aren't far apart over the fee.
There was a moment when a deal looked off as Valencia's internal power struggle threatened to rip up the previous plans. Rafinha has already agreed personal terms with them and once Barça return from the United States, a deal is set to be completed before the close of the transfer window.
Barça originally asked for €15m but are now willing to accept around €10m with the rest made up of performance-related bonuses. Valencia want the initial fee to be a little lower with the majority of the fee dependent on Rafinha staying fit.
