The club have responded to a burofax sent by the players of the first team and the B team

The standoff between Josep Maria Bartomeu and the Barcelona squad continues. A large number of the first team and B team players signed a burofax which was sent to the club to reject a wage cut along with other staff at the club. According to RAC1, Barça responded by stressing their intent to sit down with all parties at the negotiating table.

The relationship between the players and the hierarchy remains difficult at Camp Nou. Especially with the vote of confidence against Bartomeu which could cause the president to leave his role early. Without a doubt, the context for finding an agreement is difficult. Remember some of the senior players don't want to negotiate directly with Bartomeu, who they feel has been discredited due to the motion to have him removed.

In addition, the players are annoyed at the constant leaks coming from the club. It has not gone down well in the dressing room that it's been leaked that some players -- Ter Stegen, Lenglet and De Jong -- didn't want to sign the burofax.

Remember that Barça hope to apply new wage reductions to help the continued fight against the losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
