A major meeting took place at Barça this afternoon, involving Josep Maria Bartomeu, to discuss the move for Neymar

FC Barcelona held a meeting with high-level directors at midday on Monday, led by Josep Maria Bartomeu, where they decided to make a final written offer for Neymar. According to RAC1 this meeting included Bartomeu, Oscar Grau, Javier Bordas, Quique Tombas, Eric Abidal, Ramon Planes and André Cury.

A move for Neymar has stalled due to PSG's high demands but Barça want to present one last, final written offer for the Brazilian's services. Despite no one wanting to reveal the exact fees involved in the deal, the club is said to be "optimistic" about it being accepted.

Barça would prefer a loan deal with an option to make it permanent next summer. The sale of another player to PSG, such as Ivan Rakitic, could help smooth over the deal. Although in France they insist they want at least €100m. Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the situation but they aren't helped by their own struggles to offload Bale.

The idea would be to replicate the move which saw Coutinho join Bayern Munich.
