Quique Setién will take legal action against Barça after his sacking
The coach still hasn't been paid off by the club following his sacking in August
Quique Setién has released a statement this Thursday on behalf of himself and his coaching staff that includes Eder Sarabia, Jon Pascua and Fran Soto.
Setien said: "After a month of complete silence from the part of the FC Barcelona directors, and after divisive requirements from our side, we didn't receive anything about our situation until yesterday, via burofax. That communication revealed the directors' intention to not fulfil our contracts we signed on the 14/01/2020." They were also informed of in writing that they would be removed from their roles without any pay.
Setien claims he sees no other option but to open legal proceedings against the club in order to reach a resolution. "We feel obliged to place the matter in the hands of our lawyers to solve this situation."
