Suarez's current deal expires in 2021 and Al-Arabi could offer the 33-year-old one last big pay day

Al-Arabi are interested in signing Luis Suárez. According to BeIN Sports' Mitch Freeley, the Qatari side have spoken to the player's representatives to see if they could tempt him to make the switch from Barcelona this summer.

The journalist claims it's a transfer which current Al-Arabi manager, Heimir Hallgrímsson, has personally asked for. Those talks which have taken place weren't only to see whether Suarez would be open to a move but what the player's demands would be.

Suarez's current deal expires in 2021 but if he plays a certain amount of matches, it will be automatically extended to 2022.

Al-Arabi already have two players on their books who are well known in Europe. Former Barça defender Marc Muniesa is there as well as former Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
