Barça president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has asked the legendary defender to replace Pep Segura

Carles Puyol could return to FC Barcelona to take over the General Manager role which is vacant following Pep Segura's departure.

Barça president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has offered the job to the former defender who is considering his options.

If Puyol says yes, he would most likely bring Francesc Arnau with him. Arnau has experience in the sporting department having worked in that role for Malaga for three years.

Puyol has worked under Andoni Zubizarreta at Barcelona before after he retired from football. In 2015, when Zubizarreta was sacked, Puyol walked away from his role too and became a football agent. He stopped doing that in 2018.
