The French club's director of football suggests Barça have only made tentative enquiries and haven't shown an interest in making an offer for Neymar

París Saint Germain have opened the door for Neymar to leave the club this summer but they'd need a significant offer to part ways with the Brazilian international. So far, Barça have only made "very superficial contact" over a potential transfer and nothing beyond that.

Leonardo, the French club's new director of football, told 'Le Parisien': "It's clear to the entire world that he wants to leave. But in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow it's something different. It's incredible, but that's how it is."

PSG insist they haven't received a single offer for Neymar and that the only thing for certain right now is that he's still got three years remaining on his contract there.

Leonardo also spoke about Josep Maria Bartomeu's recent comments on Neymar and how PSG wasn't open to selling him.

"It's him who said that. But we don't see Barcelona in a position to buy him because the contacts so far have been very superficial and we haven't received an offer."

When asked what PSG's asking price is for Neymar, he said: "We need to talk about that and negotiate." He also said things could change very quickly.

"Neymar could leave PSG if a suitable offer comes in. As of today, we don't know if someone wants to buy him or at what price. This won't be resolved in one day, that much is clear."

Leonardo insists that PSG only want players who are committed to the project and want to achieve great things.

As for Neymar missing the first day of preseason training: "He had to come here and he didn't. He knew he had to be here. We're going to study our options as we would with any other player."
