The French club are also interested in improving their midfield and there's no love lost there

Bernardo Silva is a strategic objective for Barcelona in the coming weeks. The club are hoping to sell Frenkie De Jong to be able to move for the Portuguese midfielder at Manchester City. Silva wants to leave the Premier League this summer. However Paris Saint-Germain are also interested and have entered the fight for the player according to Le10Sport. PSG‘s new Portuguese sporting director Luis Campos, has a very good relationship with Bernardo Silva and his agent Jorge Mendes, and is in charge of the operation.

Barcelona have been preparing for Bernardo’s transfer for a while, with the midfield offering himself to them on various occasions. The club have a deal basically agreed with the player but have asked for patience for him and have been clear on the fact that if De Jong does not leave it will be impossible for him to come this summer. That’s why, even though the player wants to leave for Barcelona, PSG may be well placed to sign him.

The Parisian club thinks it’s essential to sign players who can make the difference in the middle of the pitch. They need to take a step forward there and Bernardo Silva would fit them perfectly.

Barcelona are convinced that the player will wait to sign for them, but in France they say he also wouldn’t mind signing for PSG. It’s not the first time in Barça and PSG have clashed in the transfer market for a player in recent years.
