TNT Sports, based on information from the journalist Marcelo Bechler, have made an announcement: Paris Saint-Germain believe they will convince Lionel Messi to join them with their project. The French club have reportedly already worked on their offensive for the Argentine.
According to the report, PSG are convinced the financial and sporting proposal they can put together will be much better than what Barça offer.
Messi's main objective is to win the Champions League again and PSG believe they're better set to do that than Barça, a team in construction with many young players.
And it's similar on the financial side: the Ligue 1 side are in a position to offer Messi figures that Barcelona cannot get near due to their cash problems.
But there's more. According to TNT Sports, inside the PSG dressing room after beating Barça, they believe they won't have to face Messi again as an opponent.
"It's the last time we will have him as a rival," one player supposedly said on Wednesday.
PSG are clear: when the season ends, Messi will be a PSG player. That's the club's position right now, pending Barça's offer to Messi now Joan Laporta has been elected as president.
Messi is out of contract on June 30 and will prioritise a sporting project over a financial one.
