They critcise that a fortnight has passed without a date being set officially

The promoters of the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu and his board, which forced them out, have criticised the lack of an election date being set despite more than a fortnight passing. There is an intention to call them for January 24 and the promoters want this to be announced as quickly as possible.

They published a statement, signed by different promoters of the motion, which recalled that "all the management committees in the history of the club" have called elections the same day they took over, or the day after.

"It's not justifiable or acceptable that a fortnight has passed and we still don't have an official election date."

They believe that the proposed date is too late too, given that between November 2, when the vote was taken, and Jan 24, when the proposed elections would be, nearly three whole months will have passed.

"In this period there could have been a lot of good work done," adds the statement, referring to potential sporting planning for next season and reducing the wage bill. They blame Carles Tusquets, who is in charge of the committee.
