Premier League side Wolves interested in Barça midfielder Riqui Puig

They enquired last summer and have now returned with stronger interest. Wolverhampton Wanderers believe in Riqui Puig and consider the Barcelona midfielder an interesting signing. The Premier League club follow Barça closely, both their first team and the academy, and have previously done deals with the Catalan club.

Now they see Riqui Puig as an opportunity due to his lack of minutes under Xavi Hernandez. They know that this summer he will have no choice but to look for game time elsewhere to revive his career. He will have a lot of options on the table and Wolves will be one of them -- and perhaps the most interesting for Barça.

It's clear that the Blaugrana will try to keep Adama Traore at the club and they can only do so if they don't have to pay a fee. Barça already have the option of Francisco Trincao, who is on loan at Wolves but has not done that well, although his agent is Jorge Mendes, which could help. The Riqui factor would also help, but given the offers, he will decide his next destination if he does choose to leave.

Riqui knows he can't misstep at this stage of his career. He has opted against leaving in each of the last two summers but may change his mind this year.
