More praise from Bayern midfielder Kimmich for Xavi and Barcelona

At the start of the transfer window, Xavi Hernández was keen on the possible arrival of Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

Knowing that it was a very complicated signing, the Barça coach did not hesitate to say: "He's a super-top player, who understands the game in a fantastic way. If the door is open, there will be negotiations with Bayern."

But in the end, the door was not open. Kimmich still has two years left on his contract with Bayern, who are not willing to let one of their best players leave. He himself has already closed the door on Barça, explaining that he had heard about the rumours, but his plan was to stay. 

At the same time, the German has not stopped repeating that his idol or the player he has looked up to the most during his life has been Xavi. This Wednesday, in a video published by the Munich club, he did it again: "Xavi is my example to follow as a footballer".

Although the operation is very complicated at the present time, the fact that the player does not hesitate to talk about the Catalan coach whenever he has the opportunity makes one think that if there is an opportunity, he would also like to work under his orders.

Xavi mentioned in a press conference in June that they have already exchanged words: "We met at an event in Qatar, we spoke a lot but he has a contract. It depends a lot on his decision, on his desire." These statements, therefore, have Bayern on fire.

The interest in continues and, this coming summer, if the player does not extend his contract with the Bavarian side, a new door will open for Barcelona to consider his possible arrival.
