Pique's complaints: Poor refereeing and even worse scheduling in LaLiga

The defender can't understand why Barça are playing three league games in six days

Once again, Gerard Pique shared his mind. The Barcelona defender spoke after the draw against Cadiz and, among other things, made it clear that he was unhappy with the refereeing but also with the scheduling this week.

"I think [Frenkie de Jong] tried to play the ball, pulls feet out, it's not a second yellow," he said of the Dutch midfielder's red card. "But it's the same as always."

De Jong's red card seems especially harsh when compared with Casemiro's recent challenge on Maxi Gomez at Mestalla, which only earned him a yellow, while De Jong's second booking meant dismissal.

However, Pique was more angry that Barça have to play Monday, Thursday and Sunday this week against Granada, Cadiz and Levante. He felt they should have played Granada sooner, given it was the previous Tuesday they faced Bayern Munich.

"What I can't understand is the calendar we've been given," he said. "We have all weekend to play and they give us a Monday, then Thursday, Sunday and then Champions League Wednesday. I don't understand it.

"I don't know who does the scheduling, but how can it be like this? It seems like criticism but it's a reflection. After Bayern on Tuesday, why Monday? The referee can make mistakes but this? I don't get it. Players are humans."
