The defender hopes to be included in Koeman's starting XI

Barcelona's players, directed by Ronald Koeman, trained on Saturday morning ahead of the Copa del Rey final later in the day. The squad left their hotel in Seville at around 10.30am for an activation session at Real Betis' training base.

The big unknown is whether or not Gerard Pique will be in the XI against Athletic Club at La Cartuja. The defender trained with his teammates to put himself to the test and will see how he feels afterwards, when a decision will be made with Koeman. The game kicks off at 9.30pm.

On Friday, in his pre-game press conference, Koeman suggested he's ready: "Pique was called up for the Clasico but it was a bit tight for that game. He had only trained three times. He's trained without problems since and he could play tomorrow."

After Saturday's session, the team returned to their hotel in Seville, where they will eat and rest before heading to the stadium in search of the first trophy of the Koeman era.
