The mini-documentary was made by a producer in Pique's company and many felt it was disrespectful for him to be indirectly involved

It's been almost two months since Antoine Griezmann's "The Decision" mini-documentary was aired. The 30-minute episode eventually led up to the French striker admitting that he was going to stay at Atletico Madrid and turn down the offer from Barça.

The show upset a lot of people in Barcelona's boardroom as they felt it humilated the club in front of the entire world.

Gerard Pique was dragged into the drama because the producer of the documentary belongs to his 'Kosmos Estudios' company. He later posted some tweets in the immediate aftermath of Griezmann's decision being revealed.

The vice president at Barcelona, Jordi Mestre, announced that the club's president Jose Maria Bartomeu would meet with Pique to ask for an explanation. This meeting was pushed back until the Spanish defender had returned from his holidays following the conclusion of the World Cup.

Pique has revealed that he spoke with Bartomeu on Friday. "I've already spoken to the president. He came to a training session at the Ciudad Deportiva before the rest of the team returned from the tour of the United States," Pique confirmed. He also had some kind words for Bartomeu: "We've lucky to have a president who is very close to the dressing room and it's something we do quite often. We spoke about various topics - including the documentary."

Pique said the same as he had following the documentary's release: "I don't believe anyone can doubt my level of 'Barcelonismo' and how much I love this club. No one can doubt me when I say that I'd never try to hurt the image of the club. The president knows this and everything is fine."
