Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Ousmane Dembele has to stay
The Gabon international striker is quick, a great goalscorer and versatile in attack and he's showing it
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was one of the protagonists as Barcelona faced Levante in Valencia. He scored in the 59th minute. He spoke to Movistar after the game.
“The entry of the boys (Gavi and Pedri) was key, we have confidence in the group. It was a very difficult game,” said Auba, who also thought Ter Stegen’s penalty save was a big moment.
“It made us grow and gave us strength,” he added.
On match winner Luuk de Jong, he said: “He deserves it, he scored a great goal.”
Dembele was one of the other players who made a big contribution, withy the cross for Aubameyang’s goal.
“He knows me well and I always have to get in place when he’s going up the right,” he said. “He has to stay.”
Auba admitted: “We lacked intensity in the first half, but in the second we improved.”
