Philippe Coutinho will wear No 10 shirt at Bayern Munich

Philippe Coutinho is almost a Bayern Munich player officially. Both clubs confirmed a deal is happening but he needs to pass his medical and sign the contract. He landed in Munich on Sunday morning to do just that, with the deal potentially official in the coming hours.

One of the unknowns was his shirt number. Coutinho could take the 11 that James leaves, the 7 which is free after Ribery departed or the No 10, left vacant by Arjen Robben - the number he wore at Liverpool.

Adidas have revealed that it will be the 10. The sportswear brand published a photo on Sunday simulating the back of Coutinho's shirt with the No 10 on but then quickly deleted the post. Eagle eyed internet punters were quick to screenshot it though...
