Philippe Coutinho has no intention of leaving Barcelona in January

The Brazilian is happy to stay at the club under new coach Xavi Hernandez

He's one of the players who creates the most debate because of his lack of performances and his big salary. Barcelona have bet on Philippe Coutinho because of it's proved impossible to move him on. It's also true that Ronald Koeman rated him and hoped he would be able to recover his best form by showing confidence in him. In the end, that didn't happen.

Koeman's departure, in theory, does not help Coutinho but so far no one has shown the Brazilian the exit door. Firstly because Xavi Hernandez wants to see him in person and, secondly, because the only thing speaking too much can do is devalue the player even more.

What Barça are clear on is the fact Coutinho has no intention of moving clubs in January. As much as Barça might push, the former Liverpool player will end the season at Camp Nou in all likelihood and it will be in the summer when a beneficial exit will be sought by all parties.

Barça are concerned because Coutinho has the biggest salary at the club following certain departures last summer, but the player's desire is firm. They will have to wait or hope that he rediscovers himself under another new coach.
