Pep Guardiola says he his hoping to ‘seduce’ young centre-back Eric Garcia into staying at Manchester city,
He has not signed a contract renewal and Barcelona want the defender, who would like to come to the Catalan giants.
"I know he wanted to leave but he's going to stay and maybe we can seduce him in this year to extend the contract with us," Guardiola said.
"He's a guy who is so stable in many things and we're so happy."
Garcia played the 90 minutes in Man City’s Champions League debut against Porto, which they won 3-1.
Barcelona tried to sign him this summer but they did not match the 20m euro offer that City wanted to sell the Spanish defender.
