Pep Guardiola: I’d come back to Barca if it was essential
The coach did not rule out a Camp Nou return
"If it were essential, I would return, but that is not the case," Pep Guardiola said, upon receiving the 2021-22 Best Manager trophy at the Stars of Catalan football awards.
"Pep left and the club continued to win", he added before admitting, however, that "nothing is comparable to Barcelona. If we have to meet again, we will do it but in a natural way and now it's other people's turn.”
"Now there is the disappointment of the Champions League, but if we analyze the matches, Bayern should have been beaten in Munich and they dropped out at the last moment against Inter," said Guardiola, who has shown he is positive about the future that awaits FC Barcelona.
”The board of directors has made an effort because there is an extraordinary squad and I feel bad that they are not there, but I prefer not to come across them (in the UCL)".
