The Spanish coach, who saw his own City side crash out of the Champions League, believes things will improve soon

Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola, has given his opinion on the ongoing crisis at his former club FC Barcelona. Bayern Munich crushed them 8-2 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and this has naturally caused a great amount of concern amongst supporters and the players. Although his mind was probably more focused on his own side, Manchester City, being eliminated by Lyon at the same stage of the competition.

Pep called Bayern "an authentic super team" and that they'd "demonstrated that on the pitch" against Barcelona. However, as is often the case, his response to the crisis at his former club was diplomatic rather than incendiary. On Barça: "It's a great club with the means in place, both internally and externally, to recover for this, I'm sure."
