Barcelona players and staff went out for a meal at Via Veneto in the Catalan city on Wednesday.

The event served to get the team together before the big Champions League game against Bayern Munich next week and also to celebrate Pedri winning the Kopa Trophy. The 19-year-old received the award for being the best young player in 2021 at the Ballon d'Or gala on Monday.

For that reason, the Canary Islander ended up covering the bill for his teammates and the coaching staff.

After a season marked by injuries so far, Pedri has been able to celebrate the prize, in addition to his recent birthday and his new contract with Barça.

The youngster was the first to arrive at a dinner which was attended by everyone, including the injured players, such as Sergi Roberto, who needs surgery on a thigh injury, and Sergio Aguero, who has a heart condition.

After Pedri, the players began to arrive slowly, including coach Xavi Hernandez, with Dembele the last to make it to Via Veneto, almost an hour after Pedri.
