Xavi's heralded change and the head of the first team's medical services has been axed

Xavi Hernandez’s arrival at Barcelona has provoked various changes and the latest is that the head of first team medical services Lluis Til has been sacked.

TV3 announced, and SPORT confirmed, that Til and Xavi Yanguas have been canned. The former is liked and respected by the players.

The reason is the recent run of players like Pedri, Dembele and Ansu Fati who have been hurt and then suffered relapses. Til is being singled out as the ‘guilty’ one.

Til was the medic Ansu Fati went to on September 26 when he scored in the win against Levante and hugged him.

Barcelona B medic Xavi Valle has moved up provisionally. However Xavi wants Ricard Pruna back. He has a contract with Sharjah FC and will not join until he can leave the club.

Til and Yanguas join Juanjo Brau, Albert Roca, Xavi Linde, Jaume Bartres, Raul Pelze and Jordi Melero in the can.
