The Spanish midfielder will not play for his country in their Euro 2024 qualifiers

After confirming the bad news about Pedri's injury, who felt discomfort again in training on Friday, the Royal Spanish Football Federation has announced that the Tenerife-born midfielder has been withdrawn from the national team's training camp for the matches against Norway and Scotland.

Pedri, who will be out for the Clasico, will have two weeks to continue with his recovery process, although everything suggests that he will not be available for the return leg of the cup competition either, with serious doubts about his presence in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The Federation has announced that it will assess in the coming hours whether to call up a new player or to continue with the other 25 players named in the squad without adding anyone else.

This is another blow for both the player and Luis de la Fuente, who will have to start his time at the helm of the national team without one of the team's key players.

The midfielder was injured in the 40th minute of the Europa League match against Manchester United at the Spotify Camp Nou and tests confirmed that he suffered an injury to his right thigh.
