Pedri acknowledges the quality of Iñigo Martínez and backs his signing
The midfielder approves of Barça's move to sign Martínez, with whom, as reported by SPORT, the club has agreed terms for a four-year contract
FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri González believes that Iñigo Martínez would be a great reinforcement for the squad. "I hope it can happen. Many names are coming up and we will see what happens", he said. For the defence, with little to no hope of signing Koundé, who is headed for Chelsea, Athletic's centre-back Íñigo Martínez has now become Barça's prime target. All that remains now is for FC Barcelona and Athletic Club to strike a deal. The 31-year-old defender, left-footed and with experience in LaLiga, still has one year due on his contract with the Basque team, so Barça will be obliged to pay them a good figure for his release.
