The duo both made impressive returns in Wednesday's loss to Real Madrid

Pedri Gonzalez is back. After three and a half months out with an injury, the Canary Islander returned for Barcelona in Wednesday's 3-2 Supercopa semifinal defeat to Real Madrid, coming on at halftime.

Ansu Fati also made his comeback from injury, replacing Luuk de Jong in the 65th minute after two months on the sidelines and going on to score.

Pedri replaced Frenkie de Jong at the break. The midfielder has not played since the defeat to Benfica in Lisbon on Sept. 19 when he suffered a relapse of a thigh injury.

His arrival was noticed immediately as he quickly set up a chance for Ousmane Dembele and struck just wide. As well as Pedri, Abde also came on at halftime, replacing debutant Ferran Torres.

The next change was Ansi for De Jong, who scored Barça's first goal. Ansu has not played since scoring against Celta Vigo on Nov. 6. This season he's scored five goals now, with his latest taking Wednesday's game into extra time.
