Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier says 'no' to FC Barcelona... for now

The right-back is focused on the present but didn't rule out a future move to Camp Nou

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier has caught the attention of Europe's biggest clubs, like Barcelona. The player, who is currently with Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, has spoken to Foot Mercato about the Catalan side's interest.

The player says he doesn't mind the rumours, but he prefers not to talk about them and to show his appreciation to PSG, who signed him in 2014.

"Honestly, I do not pay much attention to that. I am a faithful person and I do not forget it when people are there for me when I need them. PSG have always been there for me," he said.

For now, he only wants to think about PSG, although he left the door open for the future.

"I am calm and not thinking about [the future]. I am very good with PSG right now and everything is going well for me," Aurier added.

"The club has a lot of confidence in me. The coach believes in me and my teammates do too. I feel good and I do not see why I would think to leave PSG."

A few weeks ago, PSG coach Unai Emery shut the door on selling the 24-year-old, too, so it looks like a non-starter for now.
