Nasser Al-Khelaifi's suggested the Brazilian will no longer receive preferential treatment

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, has sent a message to Neymar, the French champions' Brazilian star. In an interview with France Football, he said that "no one forced Neymar to come here" in reference to his 2017 world record transfer from Barcelona.

It's a threat which contrasts with the comments he made about France forward Kylian Mbappe, the team's other star player, who he said would definitely be at the Ligue 1 club next season despite interest from elsewhere.

"I want players willing to give everything for the shirt, the club and join for the project," Al-Khelaifi said. "Those who do not want that, or do not understand, we will see each other and talk.

"Of course, there are contracts to be respected, but the priority now is a total commitment to the project. Nobody forced Neymar to sign for us. Nobody pushed him here. He knowingly signed up for this project."

The comments seem to be a declaration of intent from Al-Khelaifi, with PSG seemingly prepared to end their relationship with the Brazilian this summer. His agents are already looking for a new club after refusing to sign a new deal with PSG recently.
