The striker has been given permission by Barcelona to fly out to Germany in order to pass a medical ahead of a loan move to Borussia Dortmund

Paco Alcácer will travel to Dortmund this Monday to undergo a medical with the Bundesliga side. The Torrent-born frontman, who was being pressured by the German club to make a decision on his future, has been given permission to link up with Borussia Dortmund.

The deal is in its final stages and in the next few hours an agreement between Barça and Dortmund for a season-long loan deal could be officially announced.

The German club will pay €2.5m to loan the striker for the season, cover the entirety of his wages and potentially pay variables depending on Dortmund's success.

Another key point is that Dortmund will have the right to sign Alcacer at the end of this loan deal for an agreed sum of €25m.

The former Valencia striker joined FC Barcelona in the 2016/17 season in a €32m deal. He signed a five-year contract at the Camp Nou but after only two seasons he's heading to Germany.

Alcácer played a total of 50 official matches for Barça and scored 15 goals. He made his debut on the 10th September 2016 against Alaves.
