Ousmane Dembele's agent fires warning shot to Barça

The player can walk away for free in the summer and he says the directors are losing the French forward

More chapters in the Ousmane Dembele saga. The French winger can negotiate with any club and he is free to go at the end of his deal in June. He has not accepted Barcelona’s offer and his agent Moussa Sissoko, the one who is causing the delay, spoke to RMC and did not bite his tongue.

“We don’t know what will happen, there’s nothing agreed or signed, but the directors are losing Ousmane themselves,” he said. “From the start we’ve been willing to talk, with conditions, sure, but without shutting the door.”

The agent was calling out Alemany, Laporta and Co for not doing their part.

“They can’t threaten Dembele that he will go six months without playing if he doesn’t renew now. It’s a type of pressure that doesn’t work with people like us. Maybe with other agents, but not me. I’m defending the player’s interests.

“We are not here to feed the social media debates, but we have to tell the truth. Yes, we have demands, but we’ve shown that the career of Ousmane is not dictated by money. The opposite; he wouldn’t be here (if it was). If Barcelona wanted to negotiate they could have sat down with us. But there is no discussion and only threats that he won’t play again. And that is prohibited. We will look at Ousmane’s rights if it’s necessary.”
