Ousmane Dembele targetting Henry and Giuly's Barça records

The forward is making his way up the list of French top scorers

Little by little, Ousmane Dembele is making his mark not just on Ronald Koeman's team, but on a club as big as FC Barcelona.

Obviously, his numbers are still light years away from the Barça greats and he has a long way to go to make that list, but he's situated among some good players now. We're referring to the top French goal scorers in the club's history.

The list is led by Thierry Henry, with 49 goals in 121 games for the club. Dembele is just two goals off second place Ludovic Giuly, who helped Barça win the Champions League and scored 26 goals in 124 appearances at Camp Nou (94 as a starter).

For Dembele, 20/21 is likely to be the season when he overtakes Giuly and then makes ground on Henry, who was part of the legendary Pep Guardiola side that won six titles in one year and produced performances like the one which saw him score twice in the 2-6 win at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid.

Dembele, 23, has scored 24 goals for Barça divided in the following way: 14 in La Liga, seven in the Champions League, two in the Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Super Cup.

If injuries permit, 2021 could be his year.
