'Operation Exit' at Barça with several players set to leave this summer

Names like Jeremy Mathieu, Javier Mascherano and Arda Turan are among those who have been linked with leaving Barcelona. The club have decided to make various changes in the squad and are planning them out. 

The opinion in the sporting structure headed by Robert Fernandez is that various footballers, for one reason or another, have given all they can at the club and are at the moment where it is time to take the bull by the horns and open the door for them to leave Barcelona. It’s what happens in life and although each is a different case, it’s hard to see many of them continuing at the club next season.

One of the names is Mathieu, who has been inconsistent in his era as a Cule. Arda Turan, meanwhile, who would bring in a lot of money if sold, is another linked with the exit. The Turk has not become a regular starter, with Neymar in his place on the left wing. Mascherano, whose great professionalism and leadership is valued, on top of all he has given the club, could also be in his final few weeks as a Barcelona player. 

Robert has not ruled out letting some even more important players go and there could be one or two surprises this summer. In any case whoever the new coach will be will have an important say. When he is picked, the club will be able to take definitive decisions on players’ futures.
